Making Contact: Egyptian Women on the Frontlines of Change

Earlier this year, all of us watched as the people of Egypt showed that the power of the people and their right to a free, democratic society can defeat an unjust dictatorship.  People came out and risked everything as they toppled a 30 year old regime.

The role of youth and social media was critical to this movement, as has been reported in the media.  But the critical role that women played in this successful revolution has not received as much coverage.  Our friends at the National Radio Project takes a closer look in this week's edition of their excellent weekly show, "Making Contact."  Listen for free by clicking HERE.
