BASE Establishes Youth Group!!

PDF's Buiding Action for Sustainable Environments recently established a Youth Circle, in a meeting of young leaders from around the country.  The young leaders met with PDF staff and elders from the BASE Initiative in Chimayo, New Mexico.

The Youth Leadership gave presentations on their local issues for the other members, and began strategizing about joint, national projects.  PDF and BASE will continue to work with these young leaders, providing them with further oppurtunities to develop their leadership, organizing and other technical skills, and more changes to network with other youth working on environmental issues around the country.

To reward them for their hard work and commitment, PDF took the Leadership Circle on a white water rafting trip down the Rio Grande!!

PDF would like to congradulate all of the youth for the leadership they show in their local communities, and to thank them all for participating in this meeting.
