Making a Donor Designated Grant

Designated Grants

Many donors, some anonymously, would like to make a small number of grants but do not want to establish an on-going Donor Advised Fund. The Peace Development Fund’s Donor Designated Grant Program allows our donors the ability to carry out personalized grantmaking without establishing a Donor Advised Fund.  Along with an Annual Fund gift to PDF, the donor gives additional funds and recommendations for funding specific groups.  Some donors provide groups with designated grants for several years, while other donors provide a one-time grant.  Since 1981, PDF has made over 470 grants totaling more than $2.3 million in this program.

This is a program for donors who give a minimum of $1,000 to the PDF Annual Fund each year. Designated grants must be at least $1,000 with up to a maximum of $5,000 worth of grants annually. (Donors who wish to make more than $5,000 in grants may use our Donor Advised Fund Grant Program.)

To learn more about making a grant through this program contact Ray Santiago at (415) 642-0900 or e-mail Ray (Ray [at] peacefund [dot] org).
