Email marketing is an important tool not just for businesses, but for nonprofit organizations as well. These tools help you provide updates to your donors and members, share pictures and videos, and track responses and manage subscription lists.

Most of these services cost money, and the pricing depends on the number of subscribers you have to your list but generally average about $10 per month for up to 500 contacts, $20-40 for up to 5,000 contacts, and over $100 for up to 25,000 contacts.

Vertical Response is one of the industry leaders, and if you are a 501(c)(3), you will be able to use their services for free with a 10,000 emails per month limit.

Mail Chimp

Mail Chimp offers a no-contract, free service for up to 2,000 subscribers, and a monthly limit of 12,000 emails sent.

Wufoo

Wufoo allows people to accept donations, manage volunteer applications, create polls and build forums. Basic membership is free and for 501(c)(3)s there is a 50 percent discount on all paid plans.
