Support for Nepal Published on May 1, 2015
Many of us want to send help to those in Nepal. NPR has published a very helpful article, “What You Need to Know Before Sending Help.”
PDF also works with partners who make grants internationally. The following foundations will be helpful in relief efforts and getting money to those who desperately need it:
Nepal Earthquake Relief Fund, Seva Foundation, Berkeley, CA. Seva has been involved in eye care services in Nepal for many years, have staff on the ground and are well connected to the medical community in Nepal.
Nepal Recovery and Resilience Fund, International Development Exchange (IDEX), San Francisco, CA. PDF and IDEX do much the same thing in terms of community grantmaking, but they are international with partners on the ground in Nepal.
Tewa, the Nepal Women’s Fund, Dhapakhel, Lalitpur, Nepal. Tewa is based in Nepal, and you can support Tewa through this portal that we have set up http://campaign.justgiving.com/charity/globalfundcf/helptewa.
:Thank you for whatever you can do to help.
